Omnisexuality Is NOT Pansexuality

I’m going to make a statement here, because something has been pissing me off recently. 

PANSEXUAL AND OMNISEXUAL ARE NOT THE SAME FUCKING THING, YOU TWATS. I am omnisexual, and because of that I am absolutely enraged when people say things like “omnisexual, synonym for pansexual…”. I was on the omnisexual tumblr tag, and I saw someone had posted this:

“Bisexual, Pansexual, and Omnisexual are the SAME DAMN THING

Stop making up labels so you feel like you’re more special than everybody else. YOU ARE BI. THE END.”

All I could think is “you fucking insensitive cunt, I want to go over there and rip your teeth out.”

Let’s go through this, step-by-step.
Bisexuality: When someone is attracted to both females and males. You can get this from the prefix “Bi”, which means two.
Pansexuality: When someone is attracted to anyone of any gender, not just male and female. Gender’s don’t even exist. People are just people, everyone is human, no biggie. 
Omnisexual: When someone is attracted to anyone of any gender, not just male and female. Genders are a factor, and are recognized. 
UNDERSTOOD?
Now, granted, some people will define all three of these differently than I do. I GET THAT. And that furthers my point! You cannot say that everything is the same, because everyone defines things differently. 
The fact that different sexualities exist is to help people out of being confused and help them figure out where and who they are. It isn’t about being special or different, quite the opposite: it’s about grounding yourself to a title, a community, and to an answer that will help you embrace who you are.
